Weekly Review

How is it already the middle of December!?!  The end of the year has totally crept up on me.  Overall, this past week was a good week.  It was busy and completely flew by but I still got all my workouts in.  Here are the details.

Monday - Planned rest day

Tuesday - 3 easy miles on the treadmill


Wednesday - Strength training at home (3 rounds of squats, calf raises, crunches, glute bridges, clam shells, planks, push ups, super mans, lunges, bicep curls and tricep curls)

Thursday - 3  easy miles.  Holiday party at work meant that I got home early enough to run outside before the sun set!  I also met up with an old friend from New York who was in town for work and had a great time catching up over dinner.


Friday - 4 tempo miles before the rain started.  We had dinner with friends after work too which was a nice start to the weekend.


Saturday - 5 miles on the treadmill.  Ugh, it rained all day.  I tried to go out for a run in the morning, got to the end of the block, and turned around and came right back inside given how hard it was raining.


The evening was the Into the Spiderverse movie, it was so good!  We also had brunch with another old friend who had knit some cat beds for our kitties.


Sunday - 8 rainy miles + recovery yoga from Runner's World.  I sucked it up and went outside in the rain for this run.  It was cold and wet and pretty miserable but I felt better having gotten out there.


And we tried out a new taco place afterward that was pretty delicious!  They had three veggie taco options, 2 of which were vegan and one which could be made vegan pretty easily (Kale and Mushroom, Roasted Cauliflower, and Tofu were the three options).

So that was last week.  Here's the plan for this week.

Monday - Rest day
Tuesday - 4 easy miles
Wednesday - Body Pump
Thursday - 4 tempo miles
Friday - 6 easy miles
Saturday - Long Run
Sunday - 4 easy miles + yoga
